As the election campaign for the presidentship of the US is getting closer, we are seeing all the candidates striving hard to prove themselves and gain the trust of voters. In this strive, they like to pull each other down as well. The same thing happened between the Governor of Florida and the Governor of California.
In the past weeks, Ron DeSantis, the Governor of Florida traded insults with the Californian governor. Both took jibes on each other in the area of immigration, education, and cultural issues.
We saw the Governor of Florida taunting the Californian Governor Gavin Newsom and saying why he is not getting into the race himself.
While Ron DeSantis was running for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, he took on to Newsom and said, while he was there during a news conference to sign the state budget.
“He has a real serious fixation on the state of Florida,” DeSantis said about Newsom “I mean, I think it’s just bizarre that he does that. What I would tell him is, you know what — stop pussyfooting around.
“Are you going to throw your hat in the ring and challenge Joe? Are you going to get in and do it? Or are you just going to sit on the sidelines?” he said.
And this did not end just here. But once the event ended, Ron Desantis’ campaign took on to Twitter and tweeted about selling dome t-shirts with the words emblazoned on them
“STOP PUSSYFOOTING AROUND.”
We did not see any immediate response from Newsom on this comment, bus later on he answered to this barb. But later on, when DeSantis took the decision to fly the migrants from Texas to California, Newsom did fire up.
And he said that he believed this all was a crime. He also instructed the state to run an investigation to limit the actions of DeSantis’ administration.
This is what he had to say and you can find the details of it in the Ron DeSantis News.
“Now, who’s ultimately accountable and responsible? I mean, the buck should stop with Ron DeSantis and the games he’s playing,” Newsom said. “But it’s the folks on the front lines that were doing the dirty work. And that’s ultimately what we have to determine, is where the culpability lands and resides.”
